Artwork Storage Policy

Scope of Service

Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions scope of service.

Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions provides artwork holding services to facilitate the listing, storage, handling, and sale of artworks within its marketplace. By placing artworks under Mangroves’ custody, the customer agrees that such artworks may be handled, stored, documented, and presented for marketplace purposes.

Holding Categories and Fees

Holding fees are charged on a monthly basis and are determined by artwork type, size, and handling requirements.

Paintings / Framed Works:

Tube Holding (Unframed / Rolled Artworks):
Each tube accommodates up to five (5) artworks.

All oversized items across all categories shall be subject to individual assessment and custom pricing.

Intake and Handling

Artworks inspection, documentation, and registration.

All artworks must be delivered unpacked or be unpacked upon arrival for inspection, documentation, and registration. Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions reserves the right to refuse acceptance of any artwork that:

Exceeds storage capacity,
Presents safety risks,
Requires handling beyond operational capability.

Additional Services

Additional services may be provided upon request and are subject to separate fees.

Photography Service:

Basic documentation: 35 QAR per artwork.
Professional photography up to five images (Subject to quotation)

Pickup Services:

Minimum pickup: 100 QAR.
Complex pickup: 300 QAR.

Per item:

Up to 20 items: 50 QAR each.
Above 20 items: 10 QAR each.

Drop-off:

Free of charge, subject to inspection.

Viewing and Access

Guidelines and fees for accessing and viewing artworks.

Access to artworks may require prior notice and processing time.

Payment Terms

All holding and service fees must be paid in accordance with the applicable billing terms.

Holding fees are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to pay may result in suspension of services and restricted access to artworks.

Non-Payment and Right of Liquidation

Failure to meet payment obligations may result in service termination and further action as outlined herein.

If the customer fails to settle outstanding fees after reasonable notice, Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions reserves the right, without further consent, to liquidate selected artworks. Proceeds shall be applied to outstanding balances, including fees and costs. Any remaining balance shall be returned to the customer.

High-Value Artwork Clause

Special terms and conditions applicable to high-value consignments.

Artworks with an estimated value exceeding USD 100,000 may be subject to additional service charges, handling requirements, and mandatory insurance coverage at the customer’s expense.

Liability and Insurance

Responsibility for stored artworks is governed by the risk and liability terms.

Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions shall exercise reasonable care. Unless otherwise agreed, insurance is the responsibility of the customer. Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions shall not be liable for force majeure events, inherent defects, or pre-existing damage.

Acceptance

Use of our holding services constitutes acceptance of this policy in full.

By placing artworks with Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions, the customer agrees to all terms herein.
