This Artwork Holding Policy outlines the terms, conditions, and procedures governing the Holding, handling, withdrawal, and optional services related to artworks entrusted to us. It applies to all clients who store artworks with us, whether for short-term or long-term Holding, and covers all related services unless otherwise stated in writing.

We are committed to continuous improvement, regularly releasing updates and new features based on user feedback and technological advancements.

Required Information

Clients must complete a holding form for each artwork and provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including the following details:

• Artwork title.
• Artist name (if applicable).
• Medium and materials (if available).
• Estimated value (for reference and liability purposes).
• Dimensions (height × width × depth).
• Weight.
• Whether the artwork is framed or unframed.
• Whether the artwork has light sensitivity or special environmental requirements.
• Any special handling, holding, or fragility considerations.
• Confirmation of whether Professional photography is required.

• Confirmation of whether Professional packing, wrapping, and sealing is required.

The client acknowledges that all submitted information is accurate and complete. Failure to disclose framing status, light sensitivity, fragility, or special handling requirements may limit our ability to provide appropriate care and shall not result in liability on our part.

Condition Reporting

All artworks are visually inspected upon intake. Any visible pre-existing damage will be recorded. Holding of an artwork constitutes acknowledgment that the recorded condition is accurate unless disputed in writing within 48 hours of intake.

We aim to provide a secure and controlled holding environment appropriate for artworks. Holding facilities are designed to minimize risk related to handling, stacking, and general environmental exposure. While reasonable care is taken, minor variations in temperature, humidity, or handling conditions may occur and are accepted as standard industry practice.

• The following holding plans are billed on a monthly basis.
• all artworks accepted into holding, subject to the size and weight limitations

The holding plan prices apply to the following artwork specifications:

• Paintings with a combined size of up to 2 × 2 meters

• Sculptures with a maximum volume of 0.5 m × 0.5 m × 0.5 m and a maximum weight of 20 kg.

Artworks exceeding these limits may be subject to reclassification, additional charges, or refusal at our discretion.

• Professional photography is available at 30 QAR per item.
• Images may be used for internal documentation, marketplace listings (if authorized), and promotional purposes.

• Professional packing for holding and/or shipping costs 15 QAR per item.
• Packing includes bubble wrapping and standard protective materials.

• Listing does not transfer ownership of the artwork.
• Holding does not guarantee sale.
• The client grants permission to photograph and display the artwork online for listing and promotional purposes.
• We reserve the right to decline, remove, or suspend listings at our discretion.

All artworks accepted into holding are stored at the risk of Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions, subject to the terms and limitations set out in this policy.

Mangroves shall take reasonable care in the handling and holding of all artworks and shall be responsible for loss or physical damage occurring while the artwork is under its custody and control, except where such loss or damage results from:

• Inherent defects or characteristics of the artwork.
• Undisclosed fragility, instability, or special handling requirements.
• Normal aging, gradual deterioration, or natural material changes.
• Force majeure events, including but not limited to fire, flood, power failure, natural disasters, or other events beyond reasonable control.

Declared values provided by the client are for reference and internal handling purposes only and do not constitute insured coverage or a guarantee of compensation unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Mangroves Consultancy, Auctions, and Exhibitions liability, if any, shall be limited to direct physical loss or damage and shall not include indirect, consequential, or loss-of-value claims unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Holding fees are payable in advance according to the selected Holding Plan.
• Optional services are billed separately.
• Late or unpaid fees may result in restricted access to stored artworks and suspension of services.

• In the event of prolonged non-payment, we reserve the right to terminate the holding agreement.
• Artworks left unpaid beyond a reasonable notice period may be deemed abandoned.
• Subject to applicable laws, we reserve the right to dispose of or sell abandoned artworks to recover outstanding fees, holding costs, and associated expenses.

Only the client or a duly authorized representative, confirmed in writing, may request access to or withdrawal of stored artworks. Valid identification is required.

We reserve the right to amend this policy, pricing, or service terms at any time. Updated versions will apply to all ongoing and future holding agreements upon publication.

By submitting a holding request form and placing artworks in our care, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Artwork Holding Policy in full.
