An introductory lecture and workshop on traditional Ink Making Presented by Dr. Sadra Zekrgoo, an art conservator, academic, and expert ink maker.

You can expect to get:
  • A short lecture on the history of inks.
  • An introduction to the oldest and most common ink used around the world known as carbon ink.
There will be a demonstration on how to make this ink, followed by each of the participants making their own ink using ingredients provided.

Participants will take their handmade inks home with bottles provided.
