p-61">Peacock Ink Workshop</a>\nAbout the Workshop Peacock ink is among th
e most celebrated inks used in Persian manuscript traditions\, known for i
ts richness\, complexity\, and layered color qualities. As a variation of
Persian ink\, it incorporates additional botanical and mineral ingredients
that contribute to its distinctive tonal depth and visual vibrancy hence
its name. This workshop introduces participants to the materials\, structu
re\, and historical context of peacock ink\, situating the practice within
Persian ink-making traditions before moving into hands-on preparation. Th
e Learning Experience The session begins with a guided introduction and li
ve demonstration of the peacock ink–making process\, explaining the role
and interaction of its core components alongside added botanical colorant
 s. Participants will then prepare their own inks using the ingredients pro
vided\, working at a measured pace that allows for observation\, experimen
tation\, and comparison. Emphasis is placed on understanding how multiple
ingredients influence color\, tone\, and behavior rather than achieving un
iform results. No prior experience is required. What You Will Make and Tak
e Home Each participant will produce small batches of peacock ink during t
he workshop. Time permitting\, participants may also test their inks on pa
per to observe variation in hue\, layering\, and flow. Participants will t
ake home the inks they have made during the session. Ingredients Lampblack
