The Inner Dimension

Sometimes they seem to operate within a well-planned order, and at other times appear absolutely chaotic. The combination of these two contradictory qualities (chaos and order) makes life interesting and mysterious. This painting represents the Cosmic Game of Order and Chaos. The cube-like structure the reminds us as the Ka’ba and the decorative geometric patterns, represent order. All else in the background – the shapeless cloud-like moving waves – represent chaos. The large red coy-like masses that float in and out of the waves, symbolize our nonstop struggle to balance the two contradictory forces. Finally, the painting surface is enriched with delicate calligraphy in Nastaliq style - legible but unrecognizable at first glance. The writings echo the narration.
